1. Who We Are

Crews Control is a volunteer and crew management software developed in New Zealand. It is operated by Crews Control Limited, a business based in Auckland, New Zealand.

2. Who Can Use Crews Control

You may use Crews Control if you are:

  • An event organiser, crew coordinator, or department lead setting up and managing teams of people.

  • A volunteer or crew member creating a profile to sign up for events.

You must be 18 years or older, or have consent from a legal guardian, to use the platform.

3. User Accounts and Responsibilities

Volunteers and Crew:

  • You must provide accurate and up-to-date information in your profile.

  • You agree to behave respectfully and professionally when engaging with events, crew, or other users.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

Organisers:

  • You are responsible for the content and accuracy of any events you publish.

  • You may only use volunteer information for purposes directly related to event operations and only for your events operated through Crews Control, and you must comply with New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020.

4. Data and Privacy

We take your privacy seriously. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020. For more information, please see our Privacy Policy.

Crews Control stores data on secure servers and takes reasonable steps to protect your information. We will never sell or share your data with third parties unless required by law.

5. Fair Use and Conduct

Users must not:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful or misleading purpose.

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the system or other users’ information.

  • Distribute harmful or offensive content.

We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that breach these terms, with or without notice.

6. Software Availability

We do our best to keep Crews Control up and running, but we cannot guarantee it will be available 100% of the time. We may suspend the service temporarily for maintenance, updates, or security improvements. We will not do this without notice or during your event period.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and underlying software is owned by or licensed to Crews Control Limited. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the platform in any way without written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law:

  • We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from your use of Crews Control.

  • Organisers are solely responsible for the actions of volunteers and crew during their events.

  • We do not guarantee that the platform will be error-free or meet every specific need.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We also reserve the right to suspend or remove any user account that breaches these terms.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If the changes are significant, we will notify users via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the platform means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved under New Zealand law.
